I got my pitot tube back after snapping a tap in the body of the pitot tube. I brought it to an expert tap guy and initially he was using an alum mixture to dissolve the tap, but he gave up on it. He then put it onto one of his drill presses and was able to drill out the tap with no damage to the pitot tube.
The aluminum lines are quite long and I will probably cut them a little shorter yet, more than likely another 2 inches or so. In any event it's good the way it is, but the lines may be needed to be persuaded a little further in a curve.
The ends were flared and the fittings added. Nice and easy snap method for the plastic lines. Once it's at the final length, I'll add a protective covering for the aluminum lines in the mast.
